About the Role
As our Remote Embedded Systems Engineer, you will design, develop, and optimize embedded software and hardware for next-generation smart devices. Your role will span across firmware engineering, systems integration, low-level programming, and working with real-time operating systems (RTOS). You'll engage with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions that are brought to life.
Key Responsibilities
Core Development Tasks
- Architect and build embedded applications using C/C++ for ARM, AVR, or similar microcontroller platforms.
- Develop low-level drivers, board support packages (BSP), and middleware.
- Conduct hardware bring-up, debugging, and system-level testing.
Integration & Collaboration
- Work closely with hardware engineers, systems architects, and application developers to deliver cohesive solutions.
- Participate in regular design reviews, code reviews, and team sprint planning sessions.
- Support the QA team in building automation scripts and embedded diagnostics.
Product Lifecycle Support
- Maintain and update firmware through continuous integration workflows.
- Assist in post-deployment bug fixing and performance improvements.
- Contribute to product documentation and best practices.

- Familiarity with RTOS concepts and implementation
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting
