🧠 Required Skills and Qualifications
🎓 Education
- Formal training in healthcare coding, health records administration, or a related healthcare documentation program
📜 Credentials
- Must have an active CCS, RHIA, RHIT, or CPC credential from AHIMA or AAPC
🧩 Background Experience
- At least two years of coding experience in a facility or hospital environment
- Comfortable using tools like Epic or 3M Encoder for electronic recordkeeping
