Key Responsibilities That Drive Impact

Strategic Legal Guidance

  • Offer clear, strategic legal counsel regarding U.S. federal government contracts, including FAR, DFARS, and other acquisition regulations.
  • Support contract negotiations, including cost-reimbursement, fixed-price, time-and-materials, and IDIQ agreements.
  • Review and interpret solicitation documents, contract modifications, and award notices.

Compliance & Regulatory Oversight

  • Evaluate organizational practices to ensure compliance with applicable statutes, including the False Claims Act, the Procurement Integrity Act, and the Service Contract Act.
  • Conduct internal audits and provide remediation plans for noncompliance.
  • Develop and implement training programs for procurement staff on the latest government regulations.

Risk Management & Litigation

  • Identify potential risks and recommend proactive measures to minimize exposure to disputes or debarment.
  • Represent clients in bid protests before GAO and in disputes under the Contract Disputes Act.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and litigation teams during enforcement actions, audits, or inquiries.

Contract Lifecycle Support

  • Advise clients throughout the entire contract lifecycle—from pre-award strategies to close-out procedures.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate subcontracts, teaming agreements, and NDAs related to public sector projects.
  • Assist in crafting competitive, compliant responses to government RFPs.

Qualifications and Experience

Required Background

  • Licensed to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction in good standing.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience advising on federal government contracts.
  • Proficient understanding of FAR, DFARS, and procurement regulations.
  • Experience with bid protests, claims, and contract dispute resolution.
  • Demonstrated history of supporting clients with public sector contract administration.
