Remote Grants Administrator

Salary: $78,000 per year
Position Overview:
We seek a detail-oriented and highly organized Remote Grants Administrator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of our grant funding processes and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and organizational policies. You will collaborate with various departments to support grant application and management efforts, track funding utilization, and provide critical support to project teams. This position is ideal for a proactive individual with a strong background in grants management and a commitment to facilitating the success of our funded projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grant Application Management:
- Review and assess grant proposals for completeness and compliance with funding requirements.
- Coordinate the preparation and submission of grant proposals, including budgets and supporting documentation.
- Work with program managers to ensure that all grant applications meet the specific needs and objectives of the organization.
- Grant Monitoring and Reporting:
- Monitor grant-funded projects to ensure adherence to budgetary and reporting guidelines.
- Prepare and submit timely reports detailing progress, financial status, and outcomes to funders.
- Conduct regular reviews of grant-funded projects to ensure compliance with grant terms and conditions.
- Financial Management:
- Oversee the financial aspects of grant management, including budget preparation, expense tracking, and financial reporting.
- Coordinate with the finance department to ensure accurate and timely processing of grant-related payments and reimbursements.
- Review and approve invoices and financial reports related to grant expenditures.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure all grant activities are conducted under federal, state, and local regulations.
- Maintain comprehensive and organized records of grant applications, agreements, and reports.
- Stay current with changes in grant regulations and guidelines to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Capacity Building and Support:
- Provide guidance and support to program staff on grant-related issues and processes.
- Conduct training sessions for staff on grant management best practices and compliance requirements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of grant management policies and procedures.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with funders, partners, and stakeholders.
- Address inquiries and provide information to funders and stakeholders regarding grant-related matters.
- Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and events related to grants and funding.
- Data Management and Analysis:
- Track and analyze grant performance data to assess the effectiveness of funded projects.
- Prepare reports and presentations on grant-related metrics and outcomes for internal and external audiences.
- Utilize grant management software and tools to streamline processes and enhance data accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree in Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in grants administration or a similar role, preferably in a nonprofit or public sector environment.
- Strong understanding of grant regulations, compliance requirements, and financial management principles.
- Proficiency in grant management software and tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote work environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in grants management or related fields (e.g., Certified Grants Management Specialist).
- Experience with federal, state, and private grant funding sources.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
