Position Overview:

As a Remote Health and Safety Risk Consultant, you will play a crucial role in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating health and safety risks for our clients. This role involves working remotely to provide expert guidance on creating and maintaining safe working environments, ensuring compliance with regulations, and promoting best practices in health and safety. You will be responsible for conducting risk assessments, developing safety protocols, and providing training and support to enhance workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Risk Assessment and Analysis:
    • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for various client operations, including identifying potential hazards and evaluating risks.
    • Analyze safety data and incident reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Develop and recommend strategies to mitigate identified risks and enhance overall safety performance.
  2. Safety Protocol Development:
    • Design and implement customized health and safety policies and procedures tailored to client needs and industry standards.
    • Ensure that safety protocols comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry best practices.
    • Regularly review and update safety policies to adapt to changes in regulations or client operations.
  3. Compliance and Regulation:
    • Stay current with changes in health and safety regulations and industry standards to ensure client compliance.
    • Provide expert advice on regulatory requirements and help clients navigate complex compliance issues.
    • Assist clients in preparing for and responding to safety audits and inspections.
  4. Training and Support:
    • Develop and deliver training programs on health and safety practices, including hazard recognition, emergency response, and safe work procedures.
    • Offer ongoing support and guidance to clients to ensure effective implementation of safety protocols.
    • Foster a culture of safety by promoting awareness and encouraging proactive safety measures.
  5. Incident Investigation and Reporting:
    • Lead investigations into workplace incidents and accidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
    • Prepare detailed incident reports, including findings and recommendations for preventing future occurrences.
    • Collaborate with clients to implement corrective and preventive measures based on investigation outcomes.
  6. Client Engagement:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor on health and safety matters.
    • Understand client needs and challenges, providing tailored solutions to address specific safety concerns.
    • Maintain regular communication with clients to monitor safety performance and offer ongoing support.
  7. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of risk assessments, safety inspections, training sessions, and incident investigations.
    • Prepare and present reports on safety performance, compliance status, and risk management activities.
    • Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely and organized manner.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in health and safety risk management, preferably in a consulting capacity.
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Proven experience in conducting risk assessments, developing safety policies, and delivering training.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and develop effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and deliver clear, actionable advice.
  • Proficiency in using risk management software and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote setting.
  • High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.

Salary:

The annual salary for this position is USD 97,499.

Working Conditions:
