Position Summary: We seek a dedicated and highly skilled Remote Healthcare IT Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will manage the integration of healthcare technology systems, offer technical solutions, and ensure that healthcare IT infrastructure meets the evolving needs of patients, providers, and organizations. Key Responsibilities:

• Technology Assessment and Implementation:
  • Assess healthcare technology needs and recommend suitable IT systems and infrastructure improvements.
  • Facilitate the implementation and integration of healthcare IT systems, ensuring they meet healthcare providers' requirements and optimize patient outcomes.
• System Integration and Interoperability:
  • Collaborate with healthcare stakeholders to integrate different software systems, ensuring data interoperability and the seamless exchange of patient information across multiple healthcare platforms.
  • Support developing and deploying interfaces, APIs, and electronic health record (EHR) systems to improve operational efficiency.
• Data Security and Compliance:
  • Ensure healthcare data security, protecting sensitive information from breaches and unauthorized access.
  • Stay current with data privacy regulations such as HIPAA and GDPR, and ensure that all IT processes comply with these requirements.
  • Develop and maintain documentation to support compliance initiatives.
• Consultation and Training:
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to understand their needs and challenges related to IT systems.
  • Provide training sessions for healthcare staff on new technologies and software, empowering them to utilize IT resources effectively.
  • Act as a client consultant, helping them make informed decisions about healthcare IT solutions that align with organizational goals.
• System Troubleshooting and Support:
  • Diagnosed and resolved technical issues related to healthcare IT systems, providing remote support to users and ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Provide technical assistance to clients and end-users by identifying issues and developing quick, practical solutions.
• Healthcare Process Optimization:
  • Collaborate with healthcare management to analyze workflows and identify areas where technology can enhance productivity and patient care.
  • Suggest and implement technology solutions to streamline processes and eliminate inefficiencies within healthcare environments.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Education: A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field is advantageous. Advanced certifications such as Certified Professional in Health Information & Management Systems (CPHIMS) are also beneficial.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in healthcare IT consulting or similar roles.
  • Proven experience in healthcare technology implementation and support, emphasizing electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Hands-on experience with healthcare data standards, including HL7, FHIR, DICOM, and other interoperability protocols.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare information systems, software integration, and infrastructure management.
  • Familiarity with healthcare software, such as EHR, practice management software, and health information exchanges (HIE).
  • Experience with cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and networking technologies.
• Analytical and Communication Skills:
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate complex IT systems and identify areas for improvement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to convey technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A consultative mindset, capable of building relationships with clients and offering recommendations to help achieve organizational goals.
• Project Management:
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to a changing healthcare environment.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with a proven record of delivering IT solutions on time and within budget.
