What You'll Be Doing

In this role, you won’t just be clicking buttons—you’ll champion the end user and ensure our healthcare platforms are safe, stable, and inclusive. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive manual and automated testing across web and mobile health applications.
  • Designing test cases that reflect real-life scenarios from various user backgrounds, particularly those with unique healthcare needs.
  • Collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and clinical teams in a supportive, cross-functional environment.
  • Reporting, tracking, and documenting software defects clearly and compassionately for all users.
  • Verifying data integrity and testing integrations between various health systems, ensuring security and compliance.
  • Participating in sprint planning and retrospectives, offering your voice as a technical and human-centered advocate.
  • Continuously improving testing frameworks focusing on equity, accessibility, and usability.

Tools and Technology

You’ll have access to a modern QA stack and a collaborative ecosystem. Tools may include:

  • Jira and Confluence for agile task management and documentation.
  • Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright for end-to-end test automation.
  • Postman for API testing and validation.
  • BrowserStack or Sauce Labs for cross-platform browser testing.
  • Git and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) for seamless deployment and integration.

What We're Looking For

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 1 year focused on healthcare platforms or electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, and bug life cycles.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and healthcare data handling best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored for cross-functional collaboration in a remote environment.

Preferred But Not Required:

  • Experience with HL7, FHIR, or other healthcare interoperability standards.
  • Previous involvement in telemedicine or virtual care projects.
  • ISTQB or similar testing certification.
  • Exposure to accessibility testing tools and practices.
