Position Overview:
We seek a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote HR Assistant to join our dynamic Human Resources team. As a Remote HR Assistant, you will support HR functions and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Your responsibilities will include managing HR documentation, assisting with employee onboarding, and providing administrative support to the HR team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong sense of confidentiality, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the HR department, including scheduling meetings, maintaining HR files, and preparing HR-related documents.
- Assist with preparing and processing new hire paperwork, employee change forms, and terminations.
- Employee Onboarding:
- Coordinate and manage the onboarding process for new employees, including preparing onboarding materials, conducting orientation sessions, and ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
- Act as a point of contact for new hires, answering questions and providing support during onboarding.
- HR Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS (Human Resource Information System), ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Manage employee files, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected, filed, and stored securely.
- Recruitment Support:
- Assist with recruitment by posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating with candidates.
- Support the HR team in conducting background checks and reference checks as needed.
- Employee Relations:
- Support employees by addressing general HR-related inquiries, resolving minor issues, and escalating more complex matters to HR management.
- Assist in the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives and activities.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and industry regulations.
- Assist in preparing HR reports and metrics, including turnover reports, absenteeism reports, and other relevant data.
- HR Projects and Initiatives:
- Participate in and contribute to various HR projects and initiatives, including policy updates, employee wellness programs, and training and development activities.
- Provide support in the implementation and execution of HR strategies and programs.
- Technology and Tools:
- Utilize HR software and tools effectively, including HRIS, applicant tracking systems, and employee self-service platforms.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to HR systems and coordinate with IT as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in an HR support or administrative position. Experience working remotely is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with high professionalism and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with HR software and systems.
- Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to changing priorities in a remote work environment.
