Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Remote HR Health Advisor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide essential support and guidance on health and wellness initiatives, ensuring our employees have access to the resources they need to maintain their well-being. You will work closely with various departments to promote a culture of health and safety within the organization, fostering an environment where employees can thrive both personally and professionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Employee Wellness Programs:
    • Design, implement, and evaluate health and wellness programs tailored to the diverse needs of employees.
    • Collaborate with external vendors to provide workshops, webinars, and training sessions on health-related topics such as stress management, nutrition, and mental health.
    • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of wellness initiatives, making adjustments as necessary to ensure maximum engagement and impact.
  2. Health Resources Management:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding health benefits, wellness programs, and resources available.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of health trends and best practices to inform program development.
    • Develop educational materials and resources to enhance employee understanding of health benefits and wellness options.
  3. Compliance and Policy Development:
    • Ensure all health-related policies comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as organizational standards.
    • Assist in the development and revision of employee health and safety policies, ensuring they are communicated effectively to all staff members.
    • Conduct regular audits of health programs and policies to identify areas for improvement.
  4. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Partner with HR and management teams to identify employee health needs and develop strategies to address them.
    • Facilitate open communication channels to gather employee feedback on health initiatives and identify areas for enhancement.
    • Create and distribute communications related to health initiatives, ensuring all employees are informed and engaged.
  5. Crisis Management and Support:
    • Provide support during health-related crises, offering guidance and resources to employees as needed.
    • Develop crisis communication plans related to health emergencies, ensuring timely and accurate information is shared with employees.
    • Assist in managing employee leave related to health issues, providing support and resources for a smooth transition back to work.
  6. Training and Development:
    • Provide training for managers and supervisors on health and wellness best practices, enabling them to support their teams effectively.
    • Create and deliver workshops aimed at enhancing employee understanding of health benefits and available resources.
    • Stay informed about the latest research and trends in health and wellness to ensure the organization’s programs remain relevant and effective.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Public Health, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in HR or health-related roles, with a focus on employee wellness and benefits.
  • Strong understanding of health and wellness principles, with the ability to apply them in a corporate environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective programs that promote health and well-being.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with wellness program management software is a plus.
  • Certification in health and wellness (e.g., Certified Health Coach, Wellness Program Coordinator) is a plus.

Work Environment:

This is a remote position that requires self-motivation and strong organizational skills. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently while also collaborating with a virtual team. A quiet workspace and a reliable internet connection are essential.
