Remote Instructional Designer

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Remote Instructional Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing engaging and effective educational programs and materials. Your primary focus will be to create high-quality, interactive learning experiences that meet the needs of diverse learners and align with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Curriculum Design and Development:
   • Develop instructional materials, including online courses, training modules, and multimedia content.
   • Conduct needs assessments to determine learning objectives and requirements.
   • Design course structures and content outlines, ensuring alignment with educational standards and best practices.
2. Instructional Content Creation:
   • Create engaging and interactive content, including presentations, videos, quizzes, and assignments.
   • Utilize instructional design models and theories to enhance learning effectiveness.
   • Incorporate feedback from stakeholders to refine and improve instructional materials.
3. Technology Integration:
   • Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) and authoring tools to develop and deliver course content.
   • Stay updated with emerging technologies and tools to integrate into instructional materials.
   • Ensure compatibility and functionality of content across various platforms and devices.
4. Project Management:
   • Manage multiple instructional design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project requirements.
   • Collaborate with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and team members to gather information and feedback.
   • Develop project plans, timelines, and milestones to track progress and ensure successful project completion.
5. Quality Assurance:
   • Conduct evaluations and assessments of instructional materials to ensure quality and effectiveness.
   • Analyze learner feedback and performance data to make data-driven improvements.
   • Implement best practices in instructional design and maintain consistency across all materials.
6. Training and Support:
   • Provide training and support to instructors and facilitators on the use of instructional materials and technology.
   • Develop user guides, FAQs, and other resources to assist learners and educators.
   • Address and resolve any technical or content-related issues that arise during the implementation of instructional materials.
7. Collaboration and Communication:
   • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including educators, trainers, and content developers, to achieve project objectives.
   • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and address concerns.
   • Participate in team meetings, workshops, and professional development activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven experience as an Instructional Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficiency in instructional design models, theories, and methodologies.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar.
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and best practices in instructional design.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear and concise instructional materials.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and remotely, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Familiarity with data analysis and evaluation techniques to assess the effectiveness of instructional materials.
• Experience in developing content for various audiences and learning environments.

Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is $141,721.

Work Environment:

This is a fully remote position, allowing for flexibility in work location. You will be expected to maintain a professional work environment and be available for virtual meetings and collaborative sessions during standard working hours.
