Job Summary:
We seek a talented and detail-oriented Remote Instructional Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating engaging learning experiences and understand instructional design methodologies, educational technology, and curriculum development. As a Remote Instructional Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing training materials that support our organizationโ€™s learning and development initiatives in various formats, including e-learning courses, instructor-led training, and blended learning solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Course Design and Development:
    • Analyze training needs and collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to design, develop, and deliver effective learning solutions.
    • Courses and training programs are created using instructional design methodologies such as ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate) or SAM (Successive Approximation Model).
    • Develop engaging and interactive e-learning content using various authoring tools like Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar platforms.
    • Design assessments, quizzes, and other measurement tools to evaluate learner progress and course effectiveness.
    • Create instructor-led training materials, including presentations, facilitator guides, participant guides, and other instructional resources.
  2. Content Curation and Enhancement:
    • Research and curate content from multiple sources to develop comprehensive training materials that meet specific learning objectives.
    • Adapt existing training programs for different formats, such as converting in-person training into e-learning or virtual instructor-led formats.
    • Regularly update training materials to reflect new information, best practices, or feedback from learners and stakeholders.
  3. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Work closely with subject matter experts, instructional technologists, and other stakeholders to ensure learning materials' accuracy, relevance, and alignment with organizational goals.
    • I will serve as the point of contact for instructional design projects, ensuring the timely completion of tasks and managing communication with project stakeholders.
    • Provide instructional design support to trainers and facilitators, helping them effectively deliver the training content to learners.
  4. Learning Management System (LMS) Management:
    • Upload and manage courses in the learning management system (LMS) and ensure that all training materials are accessible to the appropriate audiences.
    • Troubleshoot technical issues related to course delivery within the LMS andย supportย learners and facilitators as needed.
    • Analyze LMS data to track learner progress, assess the effectiveness of training programs, and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.
  5. Evaluation and Improvement:
    • Develop and implement evaluation methods to measure the success of training programs, including learner satisfaction, knowledge retention, and performance improvements.
    • Collect and analyze feedback from learners, facilitators, and stakeholders to continuously improve instructional materials and delivery methods.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or e-learning.
  • Proficiency in using e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar software.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, and best practices in training design.
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS), including course uploading, management, and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely.
