Job Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated IoT Business Analyst to join our team in a remote capacity. As an IoT Business Analyst, you will be responsible for understanding our clients' business needs and identifying opportunities to implement IoT solutions that enhance productivity, efficiency, and customer experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis, IoT technology, and data analytics and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs, objectives, and challenges and identify opportunities to leverage IoT solutions.
• Analyze business processes and requirements to determine the feasibility and impact of implementing IoT technologies and solutions.
• Develop and implement IoT strategies that align with the client's business goals, ensuring successful integration of IoT devices and platforms.
• Work closely with stakeholders to define IoT project requirements, scope, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Conduct in-depth data analysis using IoT-generated data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive informed business decisions.
• Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate IoT insights to stakeholders and clients.
• Conduct market research to identify emerging IoT trends, technologies, and best practices that can drive innovation and give clients a competitive edge.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, engineering, product development, and operations, to ensure successful implementation and integration of IoT solutions.
• Develop business cases for IoT projects, including cost-benefit analysis, return on investment (ROI), and impact assessments.
• Identify potential risks and challenges associated with IoT implementation and develop risk mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Provide training and support to clients to ensure IoT technologies' successful adoption and utilization.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging IoT technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance the quality of analysis and recommendations.
• Document IoT project processes, methodologies, and outcomes to facilitate transparency and knowledge sharing within the team.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in business analysis, IoT projects, technology implementation, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of IoT concepts, technologies, and use cases, including device connectivity, data collection, and analytics.
• Experience with IoT platforms, sensors, and protocols like MQTT, Zigbee, LoRa, or similar technologies.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, or R for analyzing business data and deriving insights.
• Ability to create data visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms to communicate insights effectively.
• Proven ability to manage multiple IoT projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically to identify opportunities for IoT integration and improvement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality analysis and recommendations.

Preferred Skills

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

• Familiarity with cloud-based IoT platforms, such as AWS IoT, Azure IoT, or Google Cloud IoT.
• Knowledge of data analytics and machine learning techniques to extract insights from IoT data.
• Experience with IoT projects' predictive maintenance, asset tracking, and remote monitoring use cases.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and how to ensure the security of IoT devices and data.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum, to support implementing IoT initiatives.
• There is a strong interest in emerging IoT technologies, such as edge computing, digital twins, and 5G, and their applications in business.
