Naukri Mitra, a leading recruitment agency, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Remote IT consulting Manager for our client, an established IT consulting firm. This is a fantastic opportunity for an accomplished professional to take on a leadership role and work closely with clients to deliver high-quality IT consulting services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong IT strategy, consulting, and project management background and will be responsible for overseeing consulting engagements, managing a team of consultants, and ensuring client satisfaction. The position is entirely remote, providing the flexibility to work from anywhere.
Role Overview:
As a Remote IT Consulting Manager, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of IT consulting projects, leading a team of consultants, and building strong relationships with clients. You will work closely with senior leadership to ensure that consulting engagements are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership and client management skills and the ability to manage complex IT projects and foster a culture of excellence within the consulting team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Engagement: I will serve as clients' primary point of contact, building strong relationships and acting as a trusted advisor on IT strategy and solutions. I will understand client needs, provide tailored recommendations, and ensure client satisfaction throughout engagements.
- Project Management: Oversee the delivery of IT consulting projects, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Manage project timelines, resources, and risks and meet project objectives.
- Team Leadership: I will lead, mentor, and manage a team of IT consultants, ensuring high performance, motivation, and engagement. I will also foster a collaborative, supportive work environment that encourages knowledge-sharing and professional growth.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute consulting strategies that align with the firm's business objectives. Work closely with senior leadership to define goals for the consulting practice and contribute to its growth.
- Service Delivery Excellence: Implement best practices, methodologies, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure the delivery of high-quality consulting services and drive a culture of excellence across all consulting engagements.
- Business Development Support: I will help identify new business opportunities and contribute to proposal development. I will also work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop and promote consulting service offerings.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to project delivery, client engagements, and team performance. Develop risk mitigation strategies and ensure that risks are effectively managed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, finance, and HR, to ensure the successful execution of consulting projects and alignment with business objectives. Foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork across the organization.
- Client Satisfaction and Retention: Ensure clients are satisfied with the consulting services and their expectations are met or exceeded. Address client concerns or issues promptly and effectively to maintain strong client relationships.
- Technology Expertise: Leverage your expertise in IT strategy, cloud computing, enterprise systems, and digital transformation to provide strategic guidance to clients. Stay informed about emerging technologies and use this knowledge to provide innovative solutions.
- Reporting and Metrics: Develop and track key performance metrics for consulting engagements. To support informed decision-making, provide regular reports to senior management on project progress, financials, and other relevant metrics.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT consulting, including at least 3 years in a management role. Proven track record of managing consulting projects and leading consulting teams.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the IT consulting industry, including knowledge of market trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Experience in IT strategy, cloud computing, digital transformation, and enterprise solutions.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and lead a high-performing teamโexperience managing geographically dispersed teams in a remote environment.
- Client Focus: Strong client engagement skills, focusing on delivering value and building long-term relationshipsโthe ability to understand client challenges and provide strategic IT consulting solutions that meet their needs.
- Project Management: Strong project management skills, with experience managing complex IT consulting engagements. Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, team members, and senior management. Strong presentation skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Technical Expertise: Familiarity with various IT technologies and solutions, including cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), cybersecurity, data analytics, and enterprise systems.
- Certifications: A plus is a certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional), ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library), or other relevant certifications.
- Adaptability: Adapting to changing business needs, client requirements, and market conditions. Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
