Job Summary:

As a Remote IT Program Manager, you will manage and oversee a portfolio of IT projects, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic goals. You will lead cross-functional teams, develop program plans, and ensure timely execution of project deliverables. Your role will be critical in coordinating resources, managing risks, and communicating with stakeholders to ensure the success of the IT program. Key Responsibilities:

1. Program Planning and Strategy:
   • Develop comprehensive program plans that align with the organization's strategic goals and objectives.
   • Define program scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business needs.
   • Establish clear milestones, timelines, and budgets for each project within the program.
   • Identify dependencies, risks, and critical paths across projects to ensure smooth execution and program success.
2. Leadership and Team Management:
   • Lead, mentor, and motivate project managers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results.
   • Assign roles and responsibilities to team members, ensuring efficient resource allocation and effective project execution.
   • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages communication, knowledge sharing, and innovation.
   • Conduct regular meetings with project managers and team members to review progress, address challenges, and provide direction.
3. Stakeholder Communication and Management:
   • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including executives, business leaders, and clients.
   • To keep stakeholders informed, provide regular updates on program status, milestones, risks, and necessary adjustments.
   • Facilitate workshops, presentations, and stakeholder discussions to align program goals and gather feedback.
   • Manage stakeholder expectations by setting realistic timelines and ensuring transparency throughout the program lifecycle.
4. Risk Management and Issue Resolution:
   • Identify, analyze, and prioritize program risks, developing mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
   • Proactively address challenges and obstacles that may arise, ensuring swift resolution to maintain program momentum.
   • Manage escalations and coordinate with project teams to resolve complex issues, preventing delays and maintaining project quality.
   • Continuously assess program performance and make adjustments as needed to ensure successful outcomes.
5. Program Execution and Quality Assurance:
   • Oversee the execution of projects within the program, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
   • Coordinate with project managers to ensure adherence to best practices, quality standards, and organizational policies.
   • Develop and implement quality assurance processes to ensure program deliverables meet the highest quality standards.
   • Track and measure program performance using appropriate tools and techniques, ensuring program objectives are met.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in IT program management, with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex programs.
• Strong understanding of program management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
• Experience with program and project management tools like Microsoft Project, JIRA, Trello, or similar platforms.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with risk management, issue resolution, and developing effective mitigation strategies.
• PMP, PgMP, or PRINCE2 certification is highly desirable.
• Experience working in a remote environment and managing distributed teams is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with IT infrastructure, software development, digital transformation, or cloud computing programs.
• Familiarity with change management processes and the ability to lead change within IT environments.
• Knowledge of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) and SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) frameworks.
• Exposure to managing programs involving cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and digital transformation initiatives.
• Experience in data analytics and using metrics to drive program performance and improvements.
• Ability to facilitate program retrospectives, identify lessons learned, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
