Job Overview

As a Remote Lead Cybersecurity Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the company’s digital assets by leading and managing the cybersecurity team. You will be responsible for developing and implementing security measures that protect information systems, networks, and data against potential threats. This role requires a dynamic individual with a deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, a strategic mindset, and hands-on technical expertise to address emerging threats.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Cybersecurity Operations: Lead a team of cybersecurity professionals, overseeing day-to-day activities, including monitoring and managing cybersecurity incidents and ensuring swift resolution.
2. Threat Analysis and Management: Conduct risk assessments, threat analysis, and vulnerability testing to proactively identify, analyze, and mitigate cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities.
3. Develop and Implement Security Policies: Create, maintain, and enforce company-wide cybersecurity policies and standards in alignment with best practices and regulatory requirements.
4. Incident Response: Manage the incident response process, ensuring that threats are rapidly identified, evaluated, contained, and resolved with minimal disruption to the business.
5. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and technology trends. Identify areas for improvement within existing security systems and recommend appropriate upgrades.
6. Security Awareness and Training: Develop and conduct security awareness training for employees across the organization to ensure adherence to best practices and policies.
7. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with IT, software development, and business teams to integrate security measures into business operations and product development life cycles.
8. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the company complies with all relevant security regulations and standards, such as GDPR, ISO 27001, and NIST.
9. Manage Security Tools: This position oversees the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of security technologies, including firewalls, antivirus software, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and SIEM tools.
10. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, threats, and vulnerabilities and provide senior leadership with actionable insights to enhance the overall security posture.

Required Qualifications

1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Relevant certifications may substitute for formal education.
2. Certifications: Professional cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are highly preferred.
3. Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the cybersecurity domain, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
4. Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of cybersecurity technologies, tools, and methodologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, encryption, endpoint security, and vulnerability management.
5. Incident Management: Demonstrable experience in managing cybersecurity incidents and handling complex threat scenarios.
6. Knowledge of Regulations: In-depth understanding of regulatory frameworks and standards, such as GDPR, NIST, and ISO 27001, and how to ensure compliance.
7. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze security events, conduct root cause analysis, and apply effective mitigation strategies.
8. Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to guide, mentor, and motivate team members.
9. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders clearly and concisely.

Preferred Skills

1. Experience working in a cloud environment (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and familiarity with cloud security best practices.
2. Experience in working remotely or managing remote teams.
3. Strong understanding of scripting languages and automation tools (e.g., Python, PowerShell) to automate security processes.
4. Knowledge of penetration testing tools and methodologies and experience conducting penetration tests.
