Position Overview:

We seek a highly experienced and motivated Lead Market Research Analyst to join our client's team remotely. In this role, you will manage market research projects, provide in-depth insights, and lead a team of analysts to gather and interpret data that supports strategic decision-making. You will work closely with stakeholders to help identify market trends, evaluate customer needs, and recommend actionable strategies. This position is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, a passion for market research, and the ability to translate data into business insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Market Research Projects: Manage and oversee the execution of comprehensive market research projects, ensuring that research activities align with organizational goals. Lead a team of junior analysts in conducting research, providing direction, and ensuring high-quality output.
  • Market Insights & Strategy Development: Analyze industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer behaviors to generate insights that support strategic planning. Based on these findings, actionable recommendations for senior management should be provided.
  • Team Leadership: I will lead, mentor, and coach a team of market research analysts. I will foster a collaborative team environment, set performance goals, and ensure the development of team members' skills.
  • Competitive Analysis: Conduct competitive analysis to understand competitors' market positioning, product offerings, pricing strategies, and overall performance. Provide insights that help the organization stay ahead in the market.
  • Data Collection & Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret data from various sources, including surveys, industry reports, and public databases. Validate sources and apply best practices in research methodologies to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data.
  • Customer Behavior Analysis: Analyze customer data to identify customer preferences, behaviors, and buying patterns. Use insights to support targeted marketing initiatives, product development, and customer experience enhancement.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, sales, and executive leadership, to understand their information needs. Ensure that market research aligns with business needs and provides value across the organization.
  • Report Preparation & Presentation: Develop detailed research reports, dashboards, and presentations summarizing key findings and actionable recommendations. Present insights to senior stakeholders and decision-makers clearly and engagingly.
  • Data Visualization: Use data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar software to create compelling charts, graphs, and dashboards. Ensure that complex data is presented in an accessible format to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Trend Identification & Forecasting: Track and analyze industry trends, regulatory developments, and consumer preferences to provide insights into potential opportunities and risks. Develop demand forecasts and support strategic initiatives with data-driven recommendations.
  • Survey Design & Execution: Design, execute, and analyze surveys to gather insights related to customer satisfaction, market demand, and brand perception. Ensure data quality and reliability in survey execution.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or a related field. A Master's degree or additional market research or data analysis certifications is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in market research, data analysis, or a similar role, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory position. Proven track record of managing market research projects and leading a team.
  • Research & Analytical Skills: The ideal candidate has intense research and analytical skills and a proven ability to interpret complex data and generate insights. Experience with both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies is essential.
  • Technical Proficiency: A plus is proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SPSS, or R, as well as data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI. Experience with survey tools like Qualtrics or SurveyMonkey is also a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex research findings clearly and understandably. Ability to present data-driven insights to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Project Management: Experience managing multiple research projects simultaneously, including setting timelines, tracking progress, and ensuring successful completion. PMP or similar project management certification is an advantage.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in data collection, analysis, and reporting. Ability to validate data and cross-check sources for reliability.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and mentor a team of analysts, foster a positive work environment, and encourage collaboration and professional growth.
