Remote Learning and Development Coordinator

Job Overview:
As a Learning and Development (L&D) Coordinator, you will be key in designing, organizing, and implementing learning programs that enhance employees’ skills, performance, productivity, and overall development. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong organizational skills, a passion for talent development, and an ability to deliver innovative and engaging learning experiences. You will collaborate with multiple departments, including Human Resources, Operations, and Leadership, to ensure that training programs align with the company’s strategic goals and help foster a culture of continuous learning. This remote position allows you to manage and coordinate learning initiatives from anywhere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training Needs Assessment:
- Conduct thorough assessments of training and development needs across various departments by collaborating with department heads, team leaders, and employees.
- Use employee feedback, performance data, and organizational goals to identify skill gaps and development areas that must be addressed.
- Develop and maintain a training roadmap aligned with short-term and long-term organizational goals.
- Learning Program Development:
- Design, develop, and implement learning and development programs that are interactive, relevant, and engaging.
- Create diverse learning materials, including eLearning modules, videos, interactive presentations, manuals, and live webinars.
- Customize training content to meet the specific needs of different organizational roles, ensuring that employees at all levels can benefit from the training.
- Utilize modern educational methods, including blended learning, microlearning, and gamification, to keep the material engaging and impactful.
- Coordination of Learning Initiatives:
- Manage and coordinate the delivery of training programs, including scheduling, communication, and tracking employee participation and performance.
- Ensure all training activities are well-organized, properly executed, and accessible to remote employees regardless of location.
- Leverage digital tools and learning management systems (LMS) to track employee progress, provide feedback, and ensure continuous improvement in training delivery.
- Collaborate with external vendors and subject matter experts to provide specialized training.
- Facilitation and Delivery:
- Deliver virtual training sessions and workshops to employees engagingly and effectively.
- Provide one-on-one coaching and mentoring to employees to support their individual development goals.
- Foster an inclusive learning environment where employees feel comfortable participating and asking questions.
- Performance Tracking and Reporting:
- Analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs), such as completion rates, skill development, and knowledge retention, can help measure the effectiveness of learning programs.
- Collect feedback from employees and managers to continuously improve the quality and relevance of training content.
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior leadership outlining the success of learning initiatives and areas for improvement.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in learning and development, as well as emerging technologies and tools for remote training delivery.
- Regularly review and update training materials to remain current, relevant, and aligned with organizational changes and developments.
- Encourage employees to seek new learning opportunities and take ownership of their development to promote a culture of continuous learning and development across the organization.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in Learning and Development, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Proven experience developing and implementing successful training programs, especially for remote teams.
- Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and eLearning platforms.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of eLearning design principles and adult learning theory.
- Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for remote training delivery, such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or similar software.
- Experience using course authoring tools like Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, or similar platforms is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information engagingly.
- Project Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and able to quickly adapt learning programs to meet new challenges or organizational needs.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and with all levels of staff.
Work Environment: This remote position allows you to work from your preferred location. The successful candidate must coordinate across various time zones and communicate regularly with team members and stakeholders via video conferencing, email, and collaboration tools.
