Position Overview:
We seek a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote Learning Development Specialist to join our dynamic team. This position is crucial in designing, developing, and implementing engaging and effective online learning experiences. Key Responsibilities:
- Instructional Design and Development:
- Using various instructional design methodologies, create and develop high-quality online learning materials, such as courses, modules, and assessments.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather content and ensure alignment with learning objectives.
- Utilize learning management systems (LMS) to design, organize, and deploy courses.
- Needs Analysis and Curriculum Development:
- Conduct needs assessments to identify learning gaps and determine training requirements for various audiences.
- Develop curriculum frameworks and learning pathways that meet the diverse needs of learners.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in online education to enhance program offerings continually.
- Technology Integration:
- Leverage emerging technologies and multimedia tools to create interactive and engaging learning experiences.
- Evaluate and recommend new educational technologies that enhance the online learning environment.
- Ensure accessibility and usability standards are met in all digital learning materials.
- Assessment and Evaluation:
- Design and implement evaluation strategies to measure the effectiveness of learning programs and materials.
- Analyze learner feedback and assessment results to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to refine content based on evaluation data and learner needs.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including instructional designers, graphic designers, and IT professionals, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops for faculty and staff on best practices in online teaching and learning.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders throughout the course development process.
- Project Management:
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
- Develop project timelines, monitor progress, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Proactively identify challenges and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
- Professional Development:
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in instructional design and online education.
- Share insights and findings with the team to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field; Masterโs degree preferred.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in instructional design and online course development.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).
- Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and LMS platforms (e.g., Canvas, Moodle).
- Familiarity with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and video editing tools is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
- Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to evaluating learning effectiveness.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
