Position Overview:
We are seeking an innovative and highly skilled Remote Learning Experience Designer to join our dynamic team. As a Learning Experience Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing our online educational offerings. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and implement engaging and effective learning experiences that cater to diverse learner needs. This role requires a deep understanding of instructional design principles, a passion for creating high-quality educational content, and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Develop Learning Experiences:
- Create engaging and interactive online courses, modules, and learning materials that align with the organization's educational objectives and learner needs.
- Develop multimedia content, including videos, animations, quizzes, and interactive elements to enhance learner engagement and knowledge retention.
- Utilize instructional design methodologies and best practices to ensure the content is pedagogically sound and meets established learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs):
- Work closely with SMEs to gather and analyze content requirements, ensuring that course materials accurately reflect current knowledge and industry standards.
- Facilitate discussions and workshops with SMEs to translate complex concepts into clear, accessible learning materials.
- Conduct Needs Analysis and Learner Research:
- Perform thorough needs assessments and learner analysis to identify knowledge gaps, learning preferences, and instructional needs.
- Utilize data and feedback from learner evaluations to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of the learning experiences.
- Implement and Evaluate Learning Solutions:
- Deploy and manage learning experiences on various Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other online platforms.
- Monitor learner progress and performance, analyzing data to evaluate the effectiveness of learning solutions and making recommendations for improvements.
- Stay Updated with Industry Trends:
- Keep abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in instructional design, e-learning, and remote learning environments.
- Propose innovative solutions and strategies to enhance the overall learning experience and stay ahead of industry advancements.
- Ensure Quality and Accessibility:
- Adhere to quality standards and guidelines to ensure all learning materials are accurate, engaging, and accessible to diverse learner populations.
- Implement accessibility features and inclusive design practices to accommodate learners with varying needs and abilities.
- Project Management:
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of learning experiences within established deadlines and budgets.
- Coordinate with team members, stakeholders, and other departments to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Multimedia Design, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in instructional design, e-learning development, or a similar role with a strong portfolio of online learning projects.
- Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Strong understanding of instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and best practices in online education.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with gamification and immersive learning technologies (e.g., VR/AR).
- Knowledge of graphic design and multimedia production tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
- Certification in instructional design or related areas (e.g., ATD, CPTD).
Working Conditions:
This is a fully remote position, offering flexibility in work hours and the ability to work from anywhere. Candidates should have a dedicated and quiet workspace, as well as reliable internet access. Occasional meetings and collaboration sessions may be scheduled to ensure alignment with team goals and project milestones.
