Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Remote Learning Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be adept at designing, developing, and implementing online educational programs that cater to a diverse range of learners. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to create engaging and effective learning experiences, utilizing a variety of instructional technologies and methodologies. The Remote Learning Specialist will be instrumental in enhancing our remote education offerings and ensuring that our programs meet the highest standards of quality and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Instructional Design:
    • Develop, design, and revise online learning materials, including courses, modules, and multimedia content.
    • Utilize instructional design principles and e-learning best practices to create engaging and interactive learning experiences.
    • Ensure that all content is accessible, inclusive, and aligned with educational standards and objectives.
  2. Course Development:
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather and analyze content requirements.
    • Create detailed course outlines, learning objectives, and assessments based on curriculum needs.
    • Develop interactive learning activities and assessments that reinforce key concepts and skills.
  3. Technology Integration:
    • Evaluate and select appropriate e-learning tools and technologies to enhance course delivery and learner engagement.
    • Implement and manage Learning Management Systems (LMS) to facilitate course administration, tracking, and reporting.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to course delivery and learner access.
  4. Learner Support:
    • Provide support and guidance to learners throughout their online learning journey.
    • Monitor learner progress and performance, and offer feedback and support to help them achieve their educational goals.
    • Address learner inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  5. Quality Assurance:
    • Review and assess the effectiveness of online courses and learning materials through learner feedback and performance data.
    • Conduct regular evaluations and updates to ensure that course content remains current and relevant.
    • Implement best practices in instructional design and pedagogy to continuously improve course quality.
  6. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with instructional designers, educational technologists, and other team members to ensure cohesive course development and delivery.
    • Participate in team meetings and professional development activities to stay current with industry trends and advancements.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather feedback, address concerns, and make necessary adjustments to course content.
  7. Project Management:
    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that all deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
    • Develop project plans and timelines, and monitor progress to ensure successful project execution.
    • Coordinate with external vendors or partners as needed for course development and support.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in instructional design, e-learning development, or remote education.
  • Strong knowledge of e-learning platforms, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and instructional design tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and engagingly.
  • Demonstrated ability to create interactive and effective online learning experiences.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and best practices in online education.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar software.
  • Ability to analyze learner needs and tailor content to meet diverse learning styles and preferences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
