Job Overview: We seek an experienced and dynamic Remote LMS (Learning Management System) Operations Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in managing, maintaining, and optimizing our LMS to meet our organization's and learners' needs. As a Remote LMS Operations Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the LMS platform, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and drive improvements to enhance the overall user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. LMS Administration and Management:
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the LMS, ensuring system functionality and performance are maintained at high standards.
    • Configure and manage user accounts, roles, permissions, and access controls within the LMS.
    • Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement necessary updates or fixes to ensure uninterrupted service.
  2. Content and Course Management:
    • Collaborate with instructional designers, content creators, and subject matter experts to upload, organize, and update course materials and resources within the LMS.
    • Ensure all courses are accurately represented, including descriptions, prerequisites, and enrollment options.
    • Manage course catalogs, including creating and managing course bundles, pathways, and certifications.
  3. User Support and Training:
    • Provide expert-level support to LMS users, addressing technical issues, answering queries, and resolving problems promptly.
    • Develop and deliver training materials and workshops for end-users to ensure effective use of the LMS.
    • Create and maintain user guides, FAQs, and help documentation to assist learners and administrators.
  4. Data and Reporting:
    • Generate and analyze LMS reports to track user engagement, course completion rates, and overall system usage.
    • Utilize data insights to make informed decisions and recommend system enhancements or user interventions.
    • Monitor and report on system performance metrics, including uptime, response times, and user satisfaction.
  5. System Integration and Optimization:
    • Collaborate with IT and technical teams to integrate the LMS with other organizational systems and tools, such as HR software, CRM systems, and e-commerce platforms.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Stay updated on LMS trends, new features, and best practices to continuously improve the system and user experience.
  6. Project Management:
    • Led and managed LMS-related projects, including system upgrades, new feature implementations, and platform migrations.
    • Coordinate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
    • Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and post-implementation reviews.
  7. Compliance and Security:
    • Ensure the LMS complies with relevant regulations, standards, and organizational policies, including data protection and privacy requirements.
    • Implement and monitor security measures to protect sensitive data and maintain the integrity of the LMS.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Information Technology, Education Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing an LMS or similar e-learning platform.
  • Strong understanding of LMS functionalities, including course management, user administration, and reporting.
  • Proven experience in providing technical support and user training for LMS platforms.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Familiarity with LMS integration practices and data security standards.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in LMS administration or related technologies.
  • Experience with specific LMS platforms like Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas, or SAP SuccessFactors.
  • Knowledge of e-learning best practices and instructional design principles.
