Remote Manufacturing Engineer
Description
Remote Manufacturing Engineer Role – Empowering Innovation from Anywhere
About the Role
Do you enjoy solving complex problems and reimagining how things are made from your workspace? We’re seeking a seasoned Remote Manufacturing Engineer ready to bring fresh thinking, precision, and a hands-on mindset to every challenge. This role offers a unique chance to play a key part in shaping more innovative production systems and supporting product development from wherever you are most productive.
As a valued team member, you’ll be free to optimize workflows, enhance production efficiency, and contribute directly to process innovations. This isn’t just a technical post — it’s an opportunity to influence primary operations, reduce waste, and contribute to a more agile and sustainable manufacturing approach.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering Process Optimization
- Design, assess, and improve manufacturing processes for greater productivity and reliability.
- Pinpoint areas for improvement using Lean principles and problem-solving frameworks.
- Recommend changes backed by data and help turn those insights into meaningful outcomes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with colleagues across design, QA, and operations to ensure everything fits together smoothly.
- Share updates and insights in real time through virtual syncs and project platforms.
- Be a trusted resource for technical guidance, helping remote teams stay aligned and agile.
Quality and Compliance
- Make sure all systems meet industry and internal quality standards.
- Track performance metrics, investigate root causes when issues arise, and help implement smarter fixes.
- Support digital audits and documentation for regulatory requirements and certifications.
Digital Manufacturing Leadership
- Use modern CAD and CAM tools to simulate, test, and refine process designs.
- Contribute to digital-first strategies, including innovative factory initiatives and IoT connectivity.
- Help manage vendor communications and remote production planning through cloud platforms.
Work Environment
This is a fully remote role that gives you the freedom to apply your expertise without being tied to a specific location. How you approach challenges matters most — with ownership, attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit. Our team is built around mutual respect, shared problem-solving, and a digital-first culture that encourages innovation and autonomy.
From fine-tuning layouts via virtual whiteboards to participating in weekly strategy sessions online, your impact will be deeply felt. You’ll have the support and independence to bring your best work forward daily.

- Solid background in digital tools and systems used in modern manufacturing
- Experience working in distributed teams or remote engineering environments
- Firm grasp of materials, tooling, and cost-efficiency analysis
- Strong ability to communicate clearly and effectively across digital platforms, especially in cross-functional, virtual environments
- Background working with compliance frameworks and data-driven process improvement methods
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Industrial Systems, or similar
- Professional credentials in areas like operational efficiency, project oversight, or Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)
- Familiarity with robotics, automation systems, or remote diagnostics
- Past involvement with international or multi-site plant operations
