Key Responsibilities

  • Mentor and Support a Remote Team
    Guide 6–10 mortgage processors with varying experience levels. Provide regular check-ins, support goal setting, and help resolve challenges with professionalism and care.
  • Ensure Loan Processing Accuracy and Timeliness
    Monitor workflow and pipeline status, ensuring all files meet industry regulations, internal standards, and compliance timelines.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally
    Coordinate with underwriters, loan officers, and compliance teams to streamline communication and enhance the borrower experience.
  • Train and Develop Team Members
    Offer hands-on training, create knowledge-sharing sessions, and support new hires with onboarding tailored to remote environments.
  • Conduct Quality Control Reviews
    Review loan files for completeness and accuracy. Ensure that processors are following documentation and escalation procedures effectively.
  • Promote an Inclusive Team Culture

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone who understands the technical aspects of mortgage processing and leads with heart. To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 3+ years of experience in mortgage processing, with a firm grasp of FHA, VA, and conventional loan guidelines
  • 1+ year of experience in a leadership or mentorship capacity
  • Solid understanding of regulatory requirements and documentation processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — especially in remote team dynamics
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a calm, encouraging presence under pressure
  • Drive to grow professionally and support others in doing the same
