Key Responsibilities:

• Cybersecurity Leadership: I will lead and coordinate cybersecurity initiatives to protect the organization's information systems and assets. I will also develop and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing cybersecurity guidance and leadership across all projects.
• Threat Management and Incident Response: Manage the end-to-end threat detection, analysis, and incident response processes. Develop and implement threat-hunting programs to identify emerging threats and proactively mitigate risks.
• Strategic Security Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies, policies, and procedures to address evolving threats and meet regulatory requirements. Provide expertise in the design of security solutions for infrastructure, applications, and networks.
• Risk Management: Conduct security assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and evaluate cybersecurity risks. Develop mitigation strategies and action plans to address identified risks, ensuring the organization remains secure and compliant with industry standards and regulations.
• Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with IT, DevOps, legal, and business units to ensure cybersecurity is embedded into the organization's culture and operations. Lead discussions on secure practices and promote awareness across the organization.
• Security Architecture and Best Practices: Lead efforts to design, implement, and continuously improve security architectures. Advocate for best practices in system security, ensuring that the organization uses technologies and processes that meet modern cybersecurity standards.
• Continuous Security Improvement: Stay informed of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies. Research and evaluate new cybersecurity products and techniques, recommending solutions that enhance the organization's defenses.
• Team Mentorship and Development: Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to junior analysts and other team members. Promote a culture of learning and professional growth within the cybersecurity team.
• Compliance and Auditing: Ensure the organization complies with relevant cybersecurity regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, NIST, ISO 27001). Conducted internal audits and assisted with external audits to ensure adherence to security requirements.
• Incident Documentation and Reporting: Document security incidents, responses, and post-incident reviews. Develop and deliver detailed reports to senior management and executives to provide insight into security trends, threats, and areas for improvement.

Key Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role. Experience managing security operations, threat management, and incident response in a remote setting is highly preferred.
• Technical Skills:
  • Extensive knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS, ISO 27001) and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with network security, endpoint security, cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), and security architecture.
  • Strong understanding of security technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management tools.
  • Experience with scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) for automation is a plus.
  • Ability to design and evaluate security architecture and recommend the best solutions to secure infrastructure and applications.
• Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, or GIAC are highly desirable.
• Problem-Solving and Analytical Abilities: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and respond effectively to complex cybersecurity issues. Ability to conduct forensic analysis and lead incident response efforts.
• Communication and Leadership Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to convey technical security information to non-technical stakeholders. Experience in leading cybersecurity teams and mentoring junior team members.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, especially when designing security measures, documenting processes, and analyzing potential threats.
• Team Player and Leader: Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Strong leadership skills, including motivating and developing other cybersecurity professionals.
