Position Overview:

We seek an experienced and detail-oriented Qualitative Market Research Analyst to join our clients' remote team. In this role, you will conduct in-depth qualitative research to gain insights into customer behavior, industry trends, and market dynamics. You will use various research methodologies, including interviews, focus groups, and content analysis, to gather information and provide actionable insights that support business strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in qualitative research, excellent communication skills, and a passion for understanding consumer behavior.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Qualitative Research Design & Execution: Design, plan, and execute qualitative research projects to gather insights into consumer attitudes, behaviors, and motivations. Conduct interviews, focus groups, and other qualitative methods to collect relevant data.
  • Data Collection & Analysis: Gather qualitative data from multiple sources, including interviews, focus groups, and customer feedback. Analyze data using content and thematic analysis techniques to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
  • Customer Insights & Personas: Develop customer personas and detailed profiles based on research findings. Use these insights to support marketing strategies, product development, and customer engagement initiatives.
  • Competitive Analysis: Conduct a competitive analysis to understand competitors' market positioning, strengths, weaknesses, and strategies. Provide insights that help the organization better understand its competitive landscape.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders across different departments, including marketing, product development, sales, and executive leadership, to understand their research needs and provide relevant insights that support business objectives.
  • Report Preparation & Presentation: Prepare detailed research reports summarizing key findings, insights, and actionable recommendations. Present research findings to stakeholders clearly and engagingly, ensuring that insights are accessible and easily understood.
  • Support Product Development: Provide insights for product development and customer experience initiatives. Work with product teams to understand customer needs, preferences, and pain points.
  • Industry Trend Monitoring: Stay informed about industry trends, cultural shifts, and emerging consumer behaviors that could impact the market. Based on these trends, provide strategic recommendations to help the organization anticipate market changes.
  • Qualitative Research Tools & Techniques: Use qualitative research tools and techniques, such as interview guides, discussion guides, and coding frameworks. Apply best practices to ensure the quality and reliability of research findings.
  • Data Synthesis: Synthesize data from multiple qualitative sources to comprehensively understand customer behavior and market dynamics. Identify common themes, contradictions, and insights that contribute to strategic decision-making.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or additional certifications in qualitative research or consumer psychology is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in qualitative market research or a similar role. Proven track record of conducting interviews, focus groups, and other qualitative research methods to deliver actionable insights.
  • Qualitative Research Expertise: Strong understanding of qualitative research methodologies, including interviews, focus groups, ethnography, and content analysis. Ability to apply these techniques to gather in-depth insights into consumer behavior.
  • Data Analysis Skills: Experience with qualitative data analysis, including content analysis, thematic analysis, and coding. Ability to synthesize complex data and identify key themes and insights.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex research findings clearly and concisely. Ability to present qualitative insights to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Stakeholder Management: Experience working with cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders to understand research needs and provide relevant insightsโ€”the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and clients.
