Position Overview:
We seek a meticulous and proactive Remote Quality Assurance Analyst to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:
- Testing and Validation:
- Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements and specifications.
- Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies using defect tracking tools.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand new features and assess their impact on existing functionalities.
- Quality Assurance Process Improvement:
- Evaluate and enhance QA processes and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Participate in developing and refining QA standards, guidelines, and best practices.
- Conduct root cause analysis of defects to determine underlying issues and propose solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project requirements and deliverables.
- Provide clear and concise feedback on software quality and testing outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of issues and successful project delivery.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of test cases, test results, and defect reports.
- Generate detailed reports and metrics on testing progress, defect trends, and overall software quality.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing and continuity.
- Continuous Learning and Development:
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best quality assurance and software testing practices.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience:
- Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst or similar role in a software development environment.
- Hands-on experience with various testing tools and defect-tracking systems.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies is advantageous.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries to validate data integrity and application behavior.
- Knowledge of automated testing tools and frameworks is a plus.
