Position Overview:

We seek an experienced and results-driven Remote Retail Business Analyst to join our client's team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in analyzing business processes, evaluating retail systems, and providing strategic recommendations to improve retail operations. As a Remote Retail Business Analyst, you will work closely with key stakeholders, including senior management, IT, marketing, and store operations, to deliver data-driven insights that drive profitability and enhance the customer experience. This remote position provides flexibility and requires a high level of self-discipline and motivation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for retail initiatives and projects.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of retail sales data, customer insights, and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency improvements.
• Map out and evaluate current retail business processes, identify bottlenecks, and recommend process enhancements to improve operational efficiency.
• Assist in implementing new retail systems and solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and industry standards.
• Develop detailed functional and business requirements documentation to guide system development and project delivery.
• Work with cross-functional teams to define KPIs and create dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to decision-makers.
• Support the product and IT teams in designing and testing retail system changes, ensuring they align with business needs and add value.
• Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate that solutions meet business requirements and function as intended.
• Monitor key retail metrics and performance indicators, identifying and communicating variances to relevant stakeholders.
• Provide recommendations on pricing, promotions, and merchandising strategies based on data analysis and business insights.
• Support change management initiatives by developing training materials, leading workshops, and ensuring stakeholders are well-prepared for new systems and processes.
• Develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support collaborative problem-solving and decision-making.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least 4-6 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the retail sector.
• Strong understanding of retail processes, including inventory management, pricing, merchandising, and sales operations.
• Experience working with retail management systems (RMS), ERP solutions, or POS systems.
• Proven analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and transform them into actionable business insights.
• Proficiency in data visualization and analysis tools, such as Excel, SQL, or similar tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey ideas and requirements to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience gathering, documenting, and analyzing business and functional requirements.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying issues and developing innovative solutions.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with e-commerce and omnichannel retail strategies is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum, is a plus.
• An advantage is business analysis certification, such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Agile Business Analyst (IIBA-AAC).
• Experience with process automation and integration technologies used in the retail industry.
• Knowledge of customer journey mapping and customer experience optimization.
