Key Responsibilities:

  • Cybersecurity Risk Management:
    Develop and implement effective risk management strategies for retail systems and networks. Evaluate the potential threats to the retail infrastructure and proactively identify vulnerabilities within systems, applications, and networks. Ensure that all retail data, both digital and physical, is protected from external and internal threats.
  • Retail Cyber Threat Detection and Response:
    Monitor retail environments, both online and in-store, for signs of cyber-attacks, security breaches, or other incidents. Use cutting-edge cybersecurity tools and techniques to detect, investigate, and respond to cyber threats in real time. Coordinate with other departments to ensure an immediate and effective response to security incidents, minimizing damage and disruption to retail operations.
  • Collaboration with IT and Retail Teams:
    Work closely with IT, e-commerce, and retail operations teams to implement and maintain security measures safeguarding sensitive customer information, payment systems, and inventory management platforms.   • Security Compliance and Standards:

  • Cybersecurity Training and Awareness:
    Develop and deliver training programs for retail employees to promote a culture of cybersecurity awareness. Ensure all employees understand their roles in protecting the company’s digital infrastructure and customer data. Provide ongoing cybersecurity awareness sessions to mitigate human error and reduce the likelihood of phishing attacks, social engineering, and other common threats.
  • Incident Reporting and Documentation:
    Maintained detailed records of all security incidents, from detection to resolution, and provided reports to senior management. Document lessons learned and recommend improvements to enhance the organization’s cybersecurity posture.
  • Continuous Improvement of Cybersecurity Practices:

Required Qualifications:

  • Education and Certifications:
    A Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required. Relevant cybersecurity certifications, such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), or CompTIA Security+, are highly desirable.
  • Experience:
    A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a specific focus on retail systems or e-commerce platforms. Previous experience working remotely in a cybersecurity role is a plus. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with threat detection, vulnerability management, and incident response within retail or consumer-facing environments.
  • Technical Expertise:
