Naukri Mitra is excited to announce a unique opportunity for an experienced and driven Remote Retail Cybersecurity Analyst to join a leading global organization in the retail sector. As part of the cybersecurity team, you will be instrumental in identifying, assessing, and mitigating cyber threats within the retail domain, ensuring that both customer data and internal systems are protected from potential vulnerabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cybersecurity Risk Management:
  Develop and implement effective risk management strategies for retail systems and networks. Evaluate the potential threats to the retail infrastructure and proactively identify vulnerabilities within systems, applications, and networks. Ensure that all retail data, both digital and physical, is protected from external and internal threats.
• Retail Cyber Threat Detection and Response:
  Monitor retail environments, both online and in-store, for signs of cyber-attacks, security breaches, or other incidents. Use cutting-edge cybersecurity tools and techniques to detect, investigate, and respond to cyber threats in real time. Coordinate with other departments to ensure an immediate and effective response to security incidents, minimizing damage and disruption to retail operations.
• Collaboration with IT and Retail Teams:
  Work closely with IT, e-commerce, and retail operations teams to implement and maintain security measures safeguarding sensitive customer information, payment systems, and inventory management platforms. Ensure the retail team follows industry best practices regarding data privacy and system security.
• Security Compliance and Standards:
  Ensure the retail company complies with all relevant data protection regulations, including PCI-DSS for payment card information and GDPR for customer privacy. Review and update security policies and procedures regularly to meet industry standards and legal requirements. Prepare for and assist in external audits and assessments to ensure compliance.
• Vendor and Third-Party Risk Management:
  Work with external vendors, service providers, and third-party partners to assess their cybersecurity practices. Ensure that all third-party interactions follow the organization’s security protocols and minimize risks related to third-party vulnerabilities.
• Cybersecurity Training and Awareness:
  Develop and deliver training programs for retail employees to promote a culture of cybersecurity awareness. Ensure all employees understand their roles in protecting the company’s digital infrastructure and customer data. Provide ongoing cybersecurity awareness sessions to mitigate human error and reduce the likelihood of phishing attacks, social engineering, and other common threats.
• Incident Reporting and Documentation:
  Maintained detailed records of all security incidents, from detection to resolution, and provided reports to senior management. Document lessons learned and recommend improvements to enhance the organization’s cybersecurity posture.
• Continuous Improvement of Cybersecurity Practices:
  Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and emerging threats in the cybersecurity landscape, especially as they relate to retail environments. Suggest improvements to existing security infrastructure to continuously strengthen the organization’s defenses against evolving threats.

Required Qualifications:

• Education and Certifications:
  A Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required. Relevant cybersecurity certifications, such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), or CompTIA Security+, are highly desirable.
• Experience:
  A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a specific focus on retail systems or e-commerce platforms. Previous experience working remotely in a cybersecurity role is a plus. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with threat detection, vulnerability management, and incident response within retail or consumer-facing environments.
• Technical Expertise:
  Strong knowledge of network security, encryption technologies, firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and intrusion prevention systems (IPS). Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools, endpoint protection software, and cloud security practices is essential. Familiarity with retail-specific security challenges such as payment card industry standards (PCI-DSS) and point-of-sale (POS) system security is required.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
  Strong analytical skills, the ability to analyze complex security data, and the ability to make sound decisions quickly are essential. A keen eye for detail and the ability to identify subtle indicators of potential security issues in physical and digital environments are also crucial.
• Communication Skills:
  Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. The ability to communicate complex cybersecurity concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders is critical. Strong reporting and documentation skills are also necessary for maintaining accurate incident records.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with cloud-based retail environments, including AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of secure software development practices and application security testing (e.g., OWASP).
• Familiarity with DevSecOps and secure coding practices in a retail application environment.
