Overview:

As a Remote Risk and Compliance Manager, you will ensure that our organization adheres to regulatory requirements and industry standards. This position is ideal for someone with a strong risk management and compliance background who is adept at working remotely and managing tasks independently. Your primary responsibilities will include identifying potential risks, developing and implementing compliance strategies, and monitoring our organization’s adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Risk Management:
   • Identify, assess, and prioritize risks related to the organization’s operations, including financial, operational, and strategic risks.
   • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and controls to minimize the impact of identified risks.
   • Conduct regular risk assessments and reviews to ensure up-to-date and effective risk management practices.
2. Compliance Monitoring:
   • Ensure the organization complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
   • Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and update compliance policies and procedures accordingly.
   • Conduct internal audits and reviews to assess compliance with established policies and procedures.
3. Policy Development and Implementation:
   • Develop, review, and update risk management and compliance policies and procedures.
   • Collaborate with various departments to ensure policies are effectively communicated and implemented across the organization.
   • Provide guidance and support to employees on compliance-related matters.
4. Training and Awareness:
   • Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on compliance requirements and risk management practices.
   • Create awareness programs to promote a culture of compliance and ethical behavior within the organization.
5. Incident Management:
   • Investigate and resolve compliance-related incidents and breaches.
   • Develop and implement corrective action plans to address identified issues and prevent recurrence.
6. Reporting and Documentation:
   • Prepare and present reports on risk management and compliance activities to senior management and stakeholders.
   • Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of risk management and compliance activities.
7. Collaboration:
   • Work closely with other departments, including legal, finance, and operations, to address compliance and risk management issues.
   • As needed, engage with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and other relevant parties.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Compliance, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP)) are preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management and compliance, preferably in a remote or virtual work environment. Experience in a managerial role is a plus.
• Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of risk management principles and compliance regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective risk management and compliance strategies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.

Working Conditions:

• This is a remote position; you must work from your home office or another remote location.
