Job Overview:
Naukri Mitra seeks a highly skilled and motivated Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join our client’s team remotely. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain a robust security infrastructure to safeguard digital assets and sensitive information. You will also identify vulnerabilities, conduct security assessments, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities:

• Security Monitoring and Incident Response: This position oversees and monitors the security of the organization's information systems to detect and respond to security incidents. It uses advanced tools and technologies to identify potential threats and anomalies and leads incident response efforts to contain, mitigate, and analyze the impact of security breaches.
• Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify weaknesses in the infrastructure. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that vulnerabilities are addressed promptly and effectively, mitigating the risk of a data breach.
• Security Policy Development: Develop and implement cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards by industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Ensure that all policies align with the organization's security strategy and are well-communicated to staff.
• Risk Management and Mitigation: Assess potential security risks to the organization's digital assets and develop mitigation strategies. Perform risk assessments, evaluate new security measures, and provide recommendations to reduce threats and vulnerabilities.
• Network and System Security: Design and implement network and system security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and other security infrastructure components. Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and respond as needed.
• Security Awareness and Training: Provide employees with training and guidance on cybersecurity best practices, phishing, and the safe handling of sensitive data. Develop awareness programs to help ensure all personnel know their roles in protecting the organization's assets.
• Compliance and Audit: We ensure compliance with applicable data protection regulations and cybersecurity frameworks, such as NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR. We also provide necessary documentation and support for internal and external audits.
• Collaboration and Leadership: Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to integrate security controls into projects and new systems. Mentor junior security analysts and contribute to team knowledge sharing and growth.
• Reporting and Metrics: Develop security metrics and prepare reports on the organization’s overall security posture for senior leadership. Provide insights into threat trends, risks, and incidents and recommend actions to improve resilience.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
• Professional Experience: At least 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, including network security, vulnerability assessments, and incident response.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, including risk management, threat detection, security frameworks, and penetration testing. Proficiency with security tools, such as SIEM (e.g., Splunk), IDS/IPS, firewalls, and antivirus solutions.
• Certifications: Industry-recognized certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable.
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security threats. Ability to solve complex problems with creativity and resourcefulness.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to articulate security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a remote team, with strong collaboration skills and the ability to mentor junior members.
