Role Overview:

As a Remote Senior IT Consultant, you will provide strategic IT consulting services to clients, helping them solve complex business problems through technology. You will lead IT projects from start to finish, working closely with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs, develop solutions, and ensure successful implementation. You will also mentor junior consultants, share best practices, and contribute to the overall growth of the consulting practice. Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement: Engage with clients to understand their business challenges and IT requirements. Build strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and providing strategic IT guidance that meets their needs.

  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to client engagement and IT projects. Develop risk mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery and minimize potential disruptions.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate project progress, risks, and challenges to stakeholders, both internal and external. Ensure that stakeholders are kept informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Business Development Support: Contribute to business development efforts by identifying new opportunities, supporting proposal development, and participating in client presentations. Expand client relationships and identify additional areas of engagement to help grow the consulting practice.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all consulting engagements meet or exceed client expectations regarding quality, timeliness, and value. Implement best practices, methodologies, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
  • Industry Research: Stay up-to-date with IT consulting trends, technologies, and best practices. Use this knowledge to inform project decisions, provide innovative solutions, and maintain a competitive edge in the market.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in IT consulting, including at least 5 years in a senior consulting role. Proven track record of delivering complex IT projects and managing client engagements.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), cybersecurity, data analytics, and enterprise software. Ability to provide strategic guidance on a wide range of IT topics.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills, with experience managing IT consulting engagements. Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
  • Client Focus: Strong client engagement skills, focusing on delivering value and building long-term relationshipsโ€”the ability to understand client challenges and provide strategic IT consulting solutions that meet their needs.
