Job Overview

The Remote Systems Business Analyst will critically analyze and improve existing business systems and processes. You will work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to understand their needs, identify challenges, and create solutions that improve efficiency and productivity. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, the ability to communicate effectively, and experience in system implementation and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to identify and translate business needs into detailed requirements. Lead workshops, interviews, and surveys to gather information from stakeholders.
2. Systems Analysis and Evaluation: Evaluate the current systems and processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement. Document current and desired future state processes to ensure alignment with business objectives.
3. Develop and Implement Solutions: Work closely with IT and development teams to design and implement solutions that meet business requirements. Facilitate the testing and implementing system updates, modifications, and new solutions.
4. Documentation and Communication: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of business requirements, technical specifications, and user manuals. Develop and deliver presentations and reports that effectively communicate key findings and recommendations.
5. Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to understand their needs, provide regular updates, and ensure the successful implementation of projects. Serve as a liaison between business users and technical teams.
6. Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry best practices, and trends that may affect business operations. Recommend and implement strategies to improve business systems and optimize productivity.
7. Testing and Quality Assurance: I help create test cases and test plans. I also participate in system and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the quality and functionality of the implemented systems.
8. Project Management Support: Assist in project planning, monitoring, and controlling activities to ensure deliverables are on time and within scope and budget.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably focusing on systems analysis and implementation.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of business systems, data modeling, and process mapping. Proficiency in software tools such as MS Visio, JIRA, SQL, and MS Office Suite.
• Analytical Skills: Proven ability to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements. Ability to interpret complex information and data to develop actionable insights.
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and develop innovative solutions to complex business problems.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Stakeholder Management: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across different levels of the organization.
• Adaptability: Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with high self-motivation and independence.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) is a plus.
• Experience with cloud-based systems, SaaS platforms, and ERP implementations.
• Experience with project management practices and tools.
