Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Technical Sourcer to join our team. As a Remote Technical Sourcer, you will play a crucial role in identifying, engaging, and presenting top-tier technical talent to meet the growing demands of our business. You will collaborate closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and the broader talent acquisition team to build robust talent pipelines that align with business needs. This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for talent sourcing, a deep understanding of technical roles, and a knack for creating meaningful connections with potential candidates.

In this fully remote position, you will have the autonomy to manage your work environment and schedule, while being part of a dynamic, collaborative, and fast-paced team. You will be responsible for finding the right candidates for a variety of technical roles, including software engineers, data scientists, product managers, and more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Talent Sourcing: Actively source for top technical talent through a variety of channels, including LinkedIn, GitHub, Stack Overflow, social media, job boards, professional networks, and other platforms. Your goal will be to find, attract, and engage passive candidates in the technical field.
  • Candidate Screening: Conduct preliminary screening interviews to assess candidatesโ€™ skills, experience, and cultural fit. Youโ€™ll need to understand the technical requirements of each role and be able to have meaningful conversations with candidates about their backgrounds and career goals.
  • Pipeline Development: Build and maintain a pipeline of potential candidates for future hiring needs. This will involve proactively reaching out to individuals who are not currently seeking a new role but could be a good fit for upcoming positions.
  • Collaboration with Hiring Managers: Work closely with hiring managers to understand their technical hiring needs, develop sourcing strategies, and provide regular updates on the status of candidate pipelines.
  • Market Research & Insights: Stay up to date with the latest trends in the tech industry and the labor market. Provide insights on candidate availability, competitive salaries, and other relevant data to ensure a competitive advantage in sourcing and hiring.
  • Diversity Sourcing: Use your sourcing techniques to ensure that we are identifying and engaging with a diverse pool of candidates. Youโ€™ll play a pivotal role in helping us build a more inclusive team.
  • ATS Management: Maintain and update the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) with accurate and timely information on candidates, ensuring all sourcing efforts are well-documented for future reference.
  • Employer Branding: Help promote our employer brand by engaging with potential candidates and creating positive experiences throughout the sourcing process. You will be the first point of contact for many candidates and will need to represent the company professionally and engagingly.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Track and report on sourcing metrics, including outreach efforts, candidate responses, conversion rates, and pipeline progress. Use data to continuously refine and improve sourcing strategies.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in technical sourcing or recruitment, preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. A solid understanding of the technical roles youโ€™ll be sourcing for is essential, as well as the ability to engage with technical candidates in a meaningful way.
  • Technical Acumen: Strong knowledge of technical roles and skills, including software engineering, data science, DevOps, cloud computing, machine learning, cybersecurity, and more. You should be comfortable discussing technical concepts with candidates to assess their suitability for various positions.
  • Sourcing Skills: Proven ability to source passive candidates through multiple channels and create effective outreach strategies. You should be skilled in using Boolean searches, X-ray searches, and other advanced sourcing techniques to find top talent.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. You must be able to craft compelling messages that grab the attention of passive candidates and convince them to engage with us.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple sourcing projects and pipelines simultaneously. You should be detail-oriented and able to track and document your efforts thoroughly.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. You should be able to pivot quickly and adapt to new challenges while maintaining a focus on long-term sourcing goals.
  • Remote Work Skills: Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively in a remote environment. You should be self-motivated, proactive, and able to meet deadlines without direct supervision.
  • Tools & Technology: Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), LinkedIn Recruiter, and other sourcing tools is essential. Experience with CRM systems and data analytics tools is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: A bachelorโ€™s degree in Human Resources, Business, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred but not required if you have equivalent experience in technical sourcing.
  • Industry Knowledge: Prior experience sourcing for technical roles in industries such as software development, AI, cybersecurity, fintech, or similar fields.
