Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Training Program Developer to join our team. This position will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing training programs that drive professional growth, enhance job performance, and support the strategic objectives of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instructional design, adult learning principles, and e-learning platforms, and will be responsible for creating dynamic and engaging content that aligns with the needs of a diverse, global audience. Key Responsibilities:
- Training Program Design & Development:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), managers, and stakeholders to identify training needs and objectives.
- Develop instructional materials, including curricula, training manuals, e-learning modules, job aids, and other resources that enhance learning and application of skills.
- Ensure all training programs are aligned with the company’s goals, culture, and industry standards, fostering employee engagement and retention.
- Design engaging and effective learning experiences, including multimedia components like videos, simulations, interactive modules, and assessments.
- Create training content for a variety of formats, including synchronous (live sessions) and asynchronous (self-paced) learning.
- Integrate blended learning techniques to accommodate different learning styles and preferences.
- Learning Management System (LMS) Management:
- Administer and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure accessibility and functionality for all users.
- Upload and organize content within the LMS, ensuring that training materials are easily accessible and tracked.
- Monitor user engagement, track progress, and generate reports on learning outcomes to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
- Training Delivery & Facilitation:
- Facilitate virtual instructor-led training sessions (webinars, workshops, and online courses) as needed.
- Work closely with trainers and facilitators to ensure they are equipped with the necessary tools, knowledge, and resources to effectively deliver training.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to learners throughout the training process, addressing questions and providing feedback to ensure a positive learning experience.
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
- Evaluate existing training programs to identify areas for improvement, update outdated materials, and introduce new training methods or technologies.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in adult learning theories, instructional design practices, and educational technologies.
- Conduct post-training evaluations to assess learner satisfaction and knowledge retention, making adjustments to content and delivery methods as necessary.
- Seek feedback from learners, stakeholders, and facilitators to continuously improve program content and delivery.
- Experiment with innovative solutions such as gamification, virtual reality, and AI-driven learning tools to create more immersive and impactful learning experiences.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with HR, IT, and other departments to ensure alignment of training initiatives with organizational objectives and technology infrastructure.
- Work closely with compliance and legal teams to ensure all training programs adhere to industry regulations and standards.
- Partner with the leadership team to identify key areas of focus for employee development and create strategic training roadmaps to support business growth.
- Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Collect and analyze training metrics to measure the effectiveness and ROI of training programs.
- Use data to identify skill gaps, predict future training needs, and make informed decisions on the development of new programs.
- Maintain accurate records of training activities, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Human Resources, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in instructional design, training development, or a related field.
- Proven experience designing and developing training programs, particularly for a remote or hybrid workforce.
- Strong understanding of adult learning theories, instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM), and e-learning best practices.
- Proficiency with e-learning development tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, or similar.
- Experience administering and managing Learning Management Systems (LMS), such as Moodle, Canvas, or Cornerstone.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, remote work environment.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect and interpret data to assess training effectiveness.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with virtual learning technologies such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or WebEx.
- Familiarity with gamification, microlearning, or other innovative training techniques.
- Certification in instructional design, e-learning, or project management (e.g., ATD, CPTD, PMP).
