Primary Responsibilities

  • Process USDA loan applications with precision and adherence to agency-specific regulations
  • Collect, analyze, and verify borrower documents, including income, assets, and property eligibility.
  • Confirm that loans meet USDA Rural Development and Guaranteed Loan program requirements.
  • Maintain meticulous records of communications and documentation within the LOS.

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Liaise with underwriters to fulfill conditions and address escalations
  • Collaborate with loan officers and closing departments to manage expectations and timelines
  • Communicate with title agents, appraisers, and insurance providers to finalize document readiness
  • Ensure that every stakeholder remains informed of file progress and key updates

File Documentation and Review

  • Order third-party services such as credit reports, tax transcripts, VOEs, flood certifications, and title commitments.
  • Evaluate creditworthiness and DTI ratios using AUS recommendations and program overlays.
  • Review and submit completed files to underwriting for conditional approval
  • Work proactively to clear outstanding conditions and expedite closings
  • Ensure closing packages and disclosures are accurate and delivered by the TRID guidelines
