Position Overview:
We seek an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Online Compliance Officer to join our dynamic team. This role ensures that our online operations adhere to regulatory and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Monitor and analyze changes in online regulations and compliance standards relevant to our industry.
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and international regulations affecting online operations.
- Ensure adherence to data protection regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable privacy laws.
- Policy Development and Implementation:
- Develop, implement, and update online compliance policies and procedures to meet regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate compliance measures into operational processes and online platforms.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of policies to ensure effectiveness and relevance.
- Risk Management:
- Identify, assess, and manage compliance risks associated with online activities and transactions.
- Develop and execute risk mitigation strategies to address potential compliance issues.
- Prepare and deliver risk assessment reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Training and Awareness:
- Design and deliver compliance training programs for employees and relevant stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of compliance by promoting awareness and understanding of regulatory requirements across the organization.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to team members on compliance-related matters.
- Incident Management:
- Investigate and resolve compliance issues and incidents, including breaches or non-compliance events.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to address identified issues and prevent recurrence.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and communicate findings to management and regulatory bodies as required.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with legal, IT, and other departments to ensure cohesive compliance strategies and responses.
- Act as a liaison between the organization and regulatory authorities, addressing inquiries and managing correspondence.
- Participate in industry forums and conferences to stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in online compliance.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, audits, and assessments.
- Prepare and submit regular compliance reports to senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
- Ensure thorough documentation of compliance procedures and incident resolutions.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP)) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or a related field, with a strong focus on online or digital compliance. Experience in managing compliance within a remote or global environment is highly desirable.

- Proven ability to develop and implement compliance policies and procedures.
