Position Overview: The Virtual Event Technology Specialist will plan, implement, and manage the technology solutions required to deliver successful virtual events. You will collaborate with event organizers, technical teams, and stakeholders to ensure a seamless and engaging experience for participants. Key Responsibilities:

1. Virtual Event Platform Management:
   • Evaluate and select the best virtual event platforms based on client needs and event requirements.
   • Configure and customize platforms to align with event objectives, including branding, registration, and user experience.
   • Monitor and ensure platform performance during live events.
2. Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
   • Provide technical support to event organizers, speakers, and attendees before, during, and after events.
   • Address technical issues promptly, minimizing disruptions to the event experience.
   • Train staff and stakeholders on using virtual event tools effectively.
3. Event Planning and Execution:
   • Collaborate with event organizers to define technical requirements and workflows.
   • Design and implement interactive features like live polls, Q&A sessions, breakout rooms, and virtual networking.
   • Coordinate with AV teams to ensure high-quality audio and video delivery.
4. Data Analytics and Reporting:
   • Track and analyze event metrics, such as attendee engagement, participation rates, and technical performance.
   • Generate post-event reports with actionable insights for future improvements.
   • Leverage analytics to enhance attendee experiences and optimize platform use.
5. Integration and Innovation:
   • Integrate virtual event platforms with tools like CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, and payment gateways.
   • Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in virtual events.
   • Recommend and implement innovative solutions to improve event engagement and efficiency.
6. Compliance and Security:
   • Ensure virtual event platforms comply with data privacy regulations and organizational policies.
   • Implement security measures to protect attendee data and prevent unauthorized access.
   • Conduct regular audits to maintain platform integrity.
7. Stakeholder Collaboration:
   • Act as a liaison between technical teams and event organizers to translate technical needs into actionable plans.
   • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on event technology performance and readiness.
   • Maintain clear and consistent communication with all event participants and organizers.
8. Continuous Improvement:
   • Evaluate the success of virtual events and identify areas for improvement.
   • Develop best practices and standardized procedures for managing virtual event technology.
   • Create training materials and resources to support internal teams and clients.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Event Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in virtual event management, technical support, or a related role.
• Proficiency with virtual event platforms such as Zoom, Webex, Microsoft Teams, or Hopin.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with data analytics and reporting tools.
• Knowledge of CRM systems, marketing automation, and platform integrations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Certification in event management or technical support is a plus.
