Virtual Grant Manager
Location: Remote
Salary: $75,000 per year
Position Overview:
We seek an experienced and highly motivated Virtual Grant Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Virtual Grant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the management and administration of grants from inception to completion. This remote position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and a deep understanding of grant processes and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grant Administration:
- Manage the entire lifecycle of grants, including the preparation, submission, and tracking of grant applications.
- Ensure compliance with grant terms and conditions, federal and state regulations, and organizational policies.
- Develop and maintain grant documentation, including reports, budgets, and correspondence.
- Monitor grant performance, including financial expenditures and programmatic outcomes, to ensure alignment with grant objectives.
- Grant Writing and Proposal Development:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify funding needs and opportunities.
- Prepare and submit grant proposals and applications to various funding agencies and organizations.
- Develop compelling narratives, goals, and objectives for grant proposals, ensuring alignment with funder priorities.
- Research potential grant opportunities and funding sources.
- Financial Management:
- Oversee grant budgets and ensure proper allocation of funds according to grant agreements.
- Track and report on grant expenditures, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Coordinate with the finance team to reconcile grant accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure all grant-related activities adhere to legal and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and submit required reports, including financial statements and progress reports, to funders and stakeholders.
- Conduct regular audits of grant activities and documentation to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for grant-related inquiries from funders, partners, and internal teams.
- Build strong relationships with funding agencies, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Provide updates and feedback to stakeholders regarding grant status, challenges, and successes.
- Capacity Building:
- Provide training and support to staff and partners on grant management processes and best practices.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of grant management practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in grant management, grant writing, or a related field.
- Proven track record of successful grant writing and securing funding from diverse sources.
- Strong understanding of grant compliance, regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in grant management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines remotely.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex grant-related issues.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with federal grants and programs, including understanding Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200).
- Knowledge of specific grant management software or tools.
- Previous experience working in a remote or virtual setting.
- Certification in grant management (e.g., Certified Grant Management Professional) is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- This is a full-time remote position with flexible working hours.
- Occasional travel may be required for conferences, meetings, or training sessions.
- The role requires a reliable internet connection and a suitable home office environment.
