Position Overview:

We seek a highly motivated and experienced Virtual Instructional Designer to join our dynamic team. You will design, develop, and implement engaging and effective instructional materials and online learning experiences for diverse audiences in this role. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Course Design and Development:
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to analyze learning needs and develop instructional goals and objectives.
    • Design and create interactive and multimedia-rich online courses and training materials, including e-learning modules, videos, and simulations.
    • Apply instructional design theories, models, and best practices to ensure learning experiences are engaging, effective, and aligned with learning objectives.
  2. Content Creation and Management:
    • Develop and curate content for various learning formats, including online modules, webinars, and blended learning solutions.
    • Authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar platforms can be used to create and update e-learning content.
    • Ensure all instructional materials are accurate, relevant, and up-to-date, incorporating feedback from learners and stakeholders.
  3. Instructional Technology Integration:
    • Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to deploy, manage, and track online courses and learner progress.
    • Implement and integrate various instructional technologies and tools to enhance the learning experience and improve learner engagement.
    • Troubleshoot technical issues related to course delivery and support learners and instructors as needed.
  4. Quality Assurance and Evaluation:
    • Conduct formative and summative evaluations of instructional materials and learning programs to assess their effectiveness and impact.
    • Collect and analyze feedback from learners and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and make necessary revisions.
    • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and instructional design and e-learning best practices.
  5. Project Management:
    • Manage multiple instructional design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to specifications and deadlines.
    • Develop project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, and communicate progress to relevant stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including graphic designers, developers, and educational consultants, to deliver high-quality learning solutions.
  6. Learner Support and Engagement:
    • Develop strategies to enhance learner engagement and motivation, including interactive elements, gamification, and personalized learning paths.
    • Provide support and guidance to learners throughout their educational journey, addressing questions and concerns promptly.
    • Monitor learner progress and outcomes, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Education, or a related field. A Masterโ€™s degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Instructional Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Lectora) and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design theories, models, and best practices, including ADDIE, SAM, and Bloomโ€™s Taxonomy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear and compelling instructional materials.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess learner needs and design effective solutions.
  • Experience with multimedia production, including video editing and graphic design, is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote work environment.
