Position Overview:
As a Virtual Inventory Management Coordinator, you will manage inventory processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy in a fully remote environment. Your primary responsibility will be maintaining optimal inventory levels, tracking inventory movements, and coordinating with various departments to ensure stock levels align with company needs and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Monitoring and Management:
- Oversee daily inventory operations and ensure accurate tracking of stock levels.
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts using inventory management software and tools.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast future needs, and make data-driven recommendations for inventory adjustments.
- Generate and present detailed reports on inventory performance, including turnover rates, carrying costs, and stock movements.
- Supplier and Vendor Coordination:
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of inventory and resolve any issues related to order fulfillment.
- Evaluate supplier performance, negotiate terms to optimize costs, and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Inventory Optimization:
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce carrying costs, and improve inventory turnover.
- Collaborate with procurement and sales teams to align inventory levels with sales forecasts and promotional activities.
- System Management:
- Utilize inventory management software and tools to track and manage inventory, ensuring data accuracy and system integrity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues and collaborate with IT support to enhance system functionality.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify and recommend improvements to inventory management processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement best practices and standard operating procedures for inventory management.
- Customer Service and Support:
- Address and resolve inventory-related inquiries and issues from internal teams and customers promptly and professionally.
- Support the sales and customer service teams by providing accurate inventory information and assisting with order fulfillment.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelorโs degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. Relevant certifications in inventory management or supply chain management are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory management, supply chain coordination, or a similar role, preferably in a remote or virtual environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Familiarity with data analysis tools and reporting software is advantageous.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with remote teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: High accuracy and attention to detail in managing inventory records and conducting audits.
- Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a remote work environment.
