Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Comprehensive Research:
- Perform in-depth research on a wide range of public policy issues, including economic, social, environmental, and health-related topics.
- Analyze existing policies, legislative proposals, and regulations to assess their impact and effectiveness.
- Utilize both qualitative and quantitative research methods to gather data from diverse sources such as academic journals, policy reports, government documents, and stakeholder interviews.
- Data Collection and Analysis:
- Collect and synthesize data from various sources, including public records, surveys, and statistical databases.
- Use data analysis tools and techniques to identify trends, patterns, and correlations relevant to public policy issues.
- Prepare detailed reports and visualizations to present findings clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Policy Evaluation:
- Evaluate the implications of proposed and existing policies on different stakeholder groups, including vulnerable populations.
- Assess the cost-effectiveness, feasibility, and potential outcomes of policy initiatives.
- Provide evidence-based recommendations to support policy formulation and decision-making processes.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Engage with stakeholders, including government officials, advocacy groups, and community organizations, to gather insights and perspectives on policy issues.
- Facilitate discussions and workshops to promote dialogue and collaboration on public policy matters.
- Report Writing and Presentation:
- Draft comprehensive research reports, policy briefs, and executive summaries that communicate research findings and recommendations effectively.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
- Ensure all reports and documents meet high standards of quality and accuracy.
- Stay Informed and Adapt:
- Stay up-to-date with current trends, developments, and emerging issues in public policy and related fields.
- Adapt research strategies and methodologies as needed to address evolving policy challenges and opportunities.
- Project Management:
- Manage multiple research projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project goals and deadlines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align research activities with organizational objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, Statistics, or a related field. A Master's degree or higher is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in public policy research, analysis, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of public policy frameworks, legislative processes, and research methodologies.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., SPSS, Stata, R, Excel).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research, analyze data, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience working remotely and managing tasks in a virtual environment is highly desirable.
