Job Summary:

We seek an experienced and dynamic Virtual Training Manager to lead our remote learning and development initiatives development, implementation, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will possess strong instructional design expertise, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver effective virtual training programs. You will ensure that our employees receive the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. This position requires a blend of technical aptitude, creativity, leadership, and an in-depth understanding of modern e-learning technologies and adult learning principles.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Training Program Development

  • Design and develop virtual training programs: Collaborate with department heads, HR, and leadership teams to identify training needs across various teams. Create custom virtual training solutions that align with organizational goals and employee career development plans.
  • Implement innovative learning strategies. To deliver engaging and impactful training, Use various learning methods, such as e-learning modules, live webinars, video tutorials, simulations, and interactive sessions.
  • Leverage technology: Use e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate), Learning Management Systems (LMS), and other digital platforms to create and deliver training that enhances employee engagement and retention.
  • Course updates and improvements: Regularly review and update training materials to reflect new processes, technologies, and organizational needs. Implement feedback from learners and stakeholders to enhance the effectiveness of the training content.

2. Project and Team Management

  • Lead and manage the virtual training team: Supervise a small team of instructional designers, facilitators, and training coordinators. Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance management to the training staff.
  • Manage training projects: Develop and maintain detailed project plans for all training initiatives. Coordinate the timely development and rollout of training programs while ensuring the quality and consistency of all content.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work with HR, IT, and department managers to align training efforts with the company’s strategic goals. Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure the technical accuracy of course content.

3. Training Delivery and Facilitation

  • Host virtual training sessions: Deliver live and recorded virtual training sessions via video conferencing platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, WebEx). Facilitate discussions, answer questions, and create a supportive learning environment.
  • Assess learning needs: Conduct pre-and post-training assessments to measure knowledge transfer and the effectiveness of training programs. Ensure that content is tailored to different audiences' needs and learning styles.
  • Continuous improvement: Analyze training session outcomes, gather participant feedback, and adjust to improve future training sessions. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and learning outcomes.

4. Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting

  • Report on training effectiveness: Prepare detailed reports on the progress and impact of training programs. Use learning analytics to demonstrate return on investment (ROI) and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stakeholder communication: Regularly update senior management and relevant stakeholders on training program developments, completion rates, and key outcomes.

5. Learning Culture Development

  • Promote a culture of continuous learning: Champion the importance of education and development in the organization by encouraging employees to take ownership of their career development. Advocate for the adoption of new training methods, technologies, and tools.
  • Employee onboarding: I will create a comprehensive virtual onboarding program to set new hires up for success from day one. I will also ensure that new employees are introduced to the company’s culture, policies, and relevant training programs engagingly.

6. Budgeting and Resource Allocation

  • Manage the training budget: Oversee the allocation of resources for training programs, ensuring that all projects are delivered within budget. Identify cost-saving measures without compromising on the quality of the training experience.
  • Vendor management: Evaluate and manage relationships with external training vendors, consultants, and platforms. Ensure all external resources align with the company’s learning objectives and budgetary constraints.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in managing virtual training programs, instructional design, or learning and development.
  • Demonstrated expertise in instructional design and e-learning development tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate, or similar).
  • Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and virtual training platforms (e.g., Zoom and Microsoft Teams).
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams in a virtual setting.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to facilitate engaging virtual training sessions.
  • Knowledge of adult learning theories and instructional design models.
  • Experience analyzing and reporting on training outcomes and program effectiveness.
