Virtual Training Project Manager
Location: Remote
Salary: USD 122,000 per annum
Position Overview:
We seek a highly motivated and experienced Virtual Training Project Manager to oversee and manage our online training initiatives. This role requires a blend of project management skills, instructional design knowledge, and a firm grasp of virtual learning environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering high-quality virtual training programs that meet organizational objectives and enhance the skills and capabilities of our learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Coordination:
- Develop comprehensive project plans for virtual training initiatives, outlining scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define training needs, goals, and performance metrics.
- Ensure alignment of training programs with organizational goals and industry standards.
- Team Management and Leadership:
- Lead and manage cross-functional teams, including instructional designers, content developers, and technical support staff.
- Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor team performance to ensure timely and quality delivery of training materials.
- Facilitate regular team meetings to review project progress, address challenges, and share updates.
- Instructional Design and Development:
- Oversee the development of engaging and effective training content, including e-learning modules, webinars, and virtual workshops.
- Ensure instructional materials are pedagogically sound, technically robust, and aligned with adult learning principles.
- Review and provide feedback on training content to ensure accuracy, relevance, and quality.
- Technology and Platform Management:
- Manage and optimize virtual training platforms and tools to ensure a seamless learning experience.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate with IT support to resolve any platform-related challenges.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in virtual training to recommend enhancements and innovations.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all virtual training-related inquiries and updates.
- Communicate project status, milestones, and potential risks to stakeholders and senior management.
- Gather feedback from participants and stakeholders to assess training programs' effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Quality Assurance and Evaluation:
- Develop and implement evaluation methods to assess the effectiveness of virtual training programs.
- Analyze feedback, performance data, and other metrics to measure training outcomes and impact.
- Implement improvements based on evaluation results to enhance the quality and effectiveness of future training initiatives.
- Budget Management:
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and expenditures are within budgetary constraints.
- Monitor and report on financial performance, including cost estimates, expenditures, and variances.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree in Project Management, Instructional Design, Education, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, focusing on virtual or online training programs.
- Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
- Proficiency in virtual training platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, WebEx) and e-learning tools (e.g., Articulate, Adobe Captivate).
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
