Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Virtual Workplace Safety Consultant to join our team. This role is designed for a dedicated professional with a strong background in occupational health and safety, particularly within a virtual or remote work environment. As a Virtual Workplace Safety Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our clients' remote work environments are safe, secure, and compliant with industry regulations and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Safety Program Development and Implementation:
   • Develop comprehensive safety programs tailored to remote work environments, including policies, procedures, and guidelines.
   • Collaborate with clients to assess their remote work setup and identify potential safety hazards.
   • Create and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks and enhance overall workplace safety.
2. Risk Assessment and Management:
   • Conduct thorough virtual risk assessments to evaluate potential safety hazards and vulnerabilities within remote work environments.
   • Utilize a variety of assessment tools and techniques to analyze risks associated with remote work setups.
   • Provide actionable recommendations and solutions to address identified risks and improve safety measures.
3. Compliance and Regulatory Guidance:
   • Stay up-to-date with current regulations, standards, and best practices related to workplace safety, particularly in remote settings.
   • Ensure that clients' remote work environments comply with relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
   • Guide compliance with OSHA regulations and other pertinent safety requirements.
4. Training and Education:
   • Develop and deliver training programs for clients and their employees on remote work safety practices and procedures.
   • Create educational materials, such as manuals, webinars, and workshops, to promote safety awareness and best practices.
   • Assess the effectiveness of training programs and make adjustments as needed based on feedback and evolving safety needs.
5. Incident Investigation and Reporting:
   • Investigate and analyze any reported safety incidents or accidents within remote work environments.
   • Develop detailed reports on findings and provide recommendations for preventing similar incidents in the future.
   • Work with clients to implement corrective actions and improvements based on incident investigations.
6. Client Consultation and Support:
   • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding workplace safety concerns and questions.
   • Provide expert advice and support to clients on a range of safety-related issues.
   • Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and exceptional service.
7. Continuous Improvement:
   • Stay informed about emerging trends and developments in workplace safety, particularly in remote work settings.
   • Continuously assess and improve safety practices and procedures to ensure they align with current best practices and regulatory changes.
   • Share knowledge and insights with clients to enhance their understanding of remote workplace safety.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., Certified Safety Professional (CSP), and Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)) are a plus.
• Proven experience in occupational health and safety, with a focus on remote or virtual work environments.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations, standards, and best practices relevant to remote work settings.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address safety risks effectively.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver training and guidance to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote setting.
• Proficient in using virtual communication tools and platforms for consultations and training.

Work Environment:
