Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Development:
- Design and develop high-quality online courses and learning modules that align with learning objectives and institutional standards.
- Collaborate with SMEs to gather content and transform it into interactive, learner-centered materials, including multimedia elements, assessments, and supporting resources.
- Instructional Strategies:
- Apply instructional design theories, models, and methodologies to create effective and engaging learning experiences.
- Utilize various multimedia and technology tools to enhance instructional delivery and learner engagement.
- Course Evaluation:
- Implement evaluation strategies to assess the effectiveness of instructional materials and learning experiences.
- Analyze feedback and assessment data to make data-driven decisions to improve course content and delivery methods continuously.
- Technology Integration:
- Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in online education to inform instructional design practices.
- Recommend and implement learning management systems (LMS) and other digital tools that support instructional delivery and student engagement.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with faculty and academic teams to align courses with institutional goals and standards.
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops for faculty on best practices in online teaching and instructional design.
- Project Management:
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of instructional materials and adherence to project timelines.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including design plans, content outlines, and assessment rubrics.
- Research and Development:
- Research best practices in online learning and instructional design to inform the development of course materials.
- Engage in professional development activities to enhance instructional design and online education skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Curriculum Development, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Proven experience in instructional design and development of online learning materials.
- Strong understanding of instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) and adult learning principles.
- Proficiency in using LMS platforms (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle) and authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and engagingly.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in evaluating instructional effectiveness and using data to inform decisions.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote work environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience designing accessible learning materials that adhere to ADA and Section 508 standards.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques for presenting assessment data and course evaluations.
- Knowledge of graphic design principles and experience with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
